God’s Sovereignty VS. Human Responsibility

For centuries Christians and scholars alike have wrestled with some of the following questions: 

• If God ordains everything that happens, do we really have free will?
• If God chooses people to go to heaven, does He also choose people to hell?
• If God has elected people for salvation, why should we worry about sharing our faith?
• Does the Bible really teach the Sovereignty of God?
• Is there anything positive or practical about the Sovereignty of God?

Beginning next Sunday we will look at Romans 9 thru 11 which lay out the tension behind these questions.   Here’s our hope during this brief 3–week series:

• We will attempt to teach each concept in as clear a fashion as humanly possible
• We will relate each concept in a practical way to our lives
• We will point out the benefits of the truth of God’s Sovereignty
