Touching Lives
God has called us to touch the lives of people throughout our community and our world with the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ (Galatians 6:10). We also recognize that in attempting to touch the lives of people, our lives will also be touched and transformed. There is nothing like sacrificial service to leave an indelible mark upon those who give themselves to a cause bigger than themselves.

Reaching People
God has called us to communicate the truth of the good news of Jesus Christ to the various people groups throughout our world. ShoreLife has also been commission to present the gospel to people throughout the world because it is the only possible source of salvation (Acts 4:12; John 3:16).

Our Vision
We envision the day when ShoreLife’s influence has spread from our neighborhood to the furthest parts of the globe.

Our Purpose
Educate, motivate, train and provide opportunities for the ShoreLife family to personally embrace the Great Commission (Personal and Global Evangelization).

Our Goals

  1. We want to establish a Biblical, practical strategy by which we can plan and evaluate our progress toward achieving our vision for missions. This strategy will be based upon Acts 1:8 in which Jesus commands His followers to “be His witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the uttermost parts of the earth.”
  2. We want to expand people’s worldview in the following ways:
    • Increase people’s sensitivity for the world’s need for the gospel
    • Increase people’s sensitivity for the plight of the persecuted church
    • Increase people’s sensitivity to the pride, prejudice and selfishness which keeps us from fulfilling the Great Commission.
  3. We want to mobilize ShoreLife to pray, promote and support missions.

"Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering."
-Hebrews 13:3

One Example
The Persecution of Christians around the world is a tragic reality. Our brothers and sisters are beaten and tortured simply for their faith in Jesus Christ. And some pay with the ultimate price. However, in the midst of this persecution are some of the boldest stories of faith you will ever read.
Now you can learn about today's persecuted church, write letters of encouragement and hope to prisoners and be encouraged to pray for them in their hour of suffering. Use the link provided below to get the latest information on how you can pray for and communicate with your brothers and sisters in prison for Christ.
