What
we believe about children:
- The
Lord actually calls adults to have the heart of a child. Matthew
18: 3-4
- Children
can understand the truth of the gospel and respond to Jesus
with a lifelong commitment of faith.
- Christ
calls children to follow Him, to grow in Him, and to serve
Him.
- The
Lord calls us to make a commitment to serving the Lord through
teaching children. It is OUR job to train them. Proverbs
22:6 and Ephesians 6:4
What
we believe about ministry:
- Working
and teaching children is one of the most rewarding and important
jobs that one person can have.
- Both
the Lord and our children deserve the best work that we give—our
teachers are prepared with suitable lessons, and happy hearts! I
Corinthians 10:31
- Change
and transition are a positive of a healthy ministry. They show
improvement, excellence, and obedience to God.
- Prayer
is essential and must saturate every aspect of our ministry. Ephesians
6:18
What
we believe about ministry to children:
- God
has appointed parents as the primary religious instructors
of their children and the church’s role is to assist
the parent in their task. Proverbs 22:6
- Life
change happens in the context of relationships with adults
who are positive role models.
- Ministry
should be creative, innovative, and in touch with the children
and families of our community.
- Children
deserve a safe, positive, nurturing, and age appropriate learning
environment that is free from fear, prejudices, and pressure
to grow-up. Mark 9:37
